I don't like either one, I would prefer a nice beach with lots of  bikinis & beer Smiley

Here's some pics of all the door parts
This is the drivers door done & waiting to go electric
The rollers on the regulator have to be hammered on , but if you have a friend handy it's pretty easy
...

these are all the door parts the move the window cleaned & ready for the passenger side
...

the following pictures show where the window attaches to the tracks & the access holes

New door rollers
...

Heres the old ones

Alan, that is an AWESOME conversion. Wink  Manual to power windows. Cool  Looks great and ends the need to lean across to raise or lower the passenger window. Smiley

I thought our weather was unbearable at times.  With your kind of heat and humidity, it would prevent most outside activities altogether. Grin

STAY COOL AND SAFE AS HEAT KILLS.

Alan,  can't believe you just had the car painted and have the doors off already to do the conversion to electric windows.

I don't have the doors off & now they're all back together with new hardware, wiskers & rubber. Will start on the wiring & power windows tomorrow morning early to beat the heat

My mistake, I looked at the pictures and it appeared you had the one door off.

Looks good, I didn't care if I had power windows until we had Kids. There is always one that would leave the window down and I didn't notice it until after I was in the garage so I would have to climb over the shifter to roll it up or they would get it down and wanted to roll it up so you had to pull over and do it for them. The individual who invented power windows must of had kids  Grin Grin

How about when the battery is dead at a car show and it starts raining and the windows are down?
Score one for crank windows.  Cheesy

Never thought of that Undecided, I guess there are arguments for both  Grin Grin comes down to personal preference and the avilability of power windows or the ability to add them like Knotacare did

Went down early this morning & adjusted the windows for the soft top. It's a much better fit & no rattles. Will start on the electric window install tomorrow. This part looks pretty easy.

Had to build a little box 4"X3" & 1" deep to hold the connectors so they don't get caught in the regulator. Made a little template & pop riveted it on. I was able to use the existing bolts to hold the motor drive assy to the regulator gear. I found a drill bit that just fit in the regulator hole then drilled the plastic gear & cut the drill bit...put a little gorilla glue on the bit & it'll never come out unless I break the gears. By the way this kit come wit lots of extra gears.  I test the motor & it runs great, just have to attack motor & cut the tabs off. On to the passenger side.

Attached the motor & used a metal wire tie on the middle of the arms

Went to install the new door panel & really didn't like the factory setup which is pretty chintzy. So I cut a piece on 1" steel & welded 2 10X32 nuts on & tapered the other side so the bolt will find the holes easily also made them exactly the same distance as the panel . I'll put the panel on & find exactly where the holes are then pop rivet it on to the door. Then it'll be easy to put the door panel on anytime Smiley To many bubas were on this car Angry

I'm thinking now I'll cut that bar in half & install it on the inside to get the panel closer to the door 1/8" probably makes a dirrerence there. When I do it next week I'll describe how I do it.
